Youth Tennis
The Sinking Spring Y offers a complete pathway for youth tennis players ages 5–18, from first-time beginners to advanced competitors. Our Youth Tennis program is delivered in two primary formats:
Clinics – Clinics form the core of youth tennis programming at the Y. These group-based sessions provide age- and skill-appropriate instruction in a fun, structured environment. Players build foundational skills, develop technique, and progress through levels as they grow in confidence and ability. Clinics are a great way for athletes to learn the game, stay active, and connect with peers on the court. Note, age and skill guidelines are flexible. Clinic placement may be adjusted following evaluation by a YMCA Tennis Professional to ensure the best fit for each player.
Lessons – Private lessons offer personalized, one-on-one coaching tailored to each athlete’s goals and playing style. Whether working on technique, preparing for competition, or just looking to improve specific skills, private instruction provides a focused and flexible training experience. Lessons are available year-round and scheduled directly with a YMCA Tennis Professional.
